Global Game Jam - Robot Game (2014)
Participated in the Global Game Jam (2014) at the Edinburgh jam site. Our game was voted second best at our jam site. The theme for the jam was "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are.".
We wanted stretch the boundaries of the players imagination and as such we came up with an innovative use of the cameras in the game. The game plays as a standard first person shooter with the objective of eliminating the other players. The change is that at the start of the round each players camera is switch with that of another player In this manner, each player would then have to hunt each other down whilst looking through the eyes of another player.
As an alternate game mode, we created a game where the players must hunt each other down in a crowd of robots. Each player is playing as a robot and must hide and behave like a robot in the crowd to evade detection. When the player manages to identify another player they must then try to eliminate them!
